My Family

     My family is very important to me. I am an only child, so it is just me and my parents. My mom is my best friend. She works as a nurse at a pediatric doctor’s office. She does so much to help people. She has been working so hard lately with all of the sickness going around lately, but she never complains. She is such a hard worker and aims to help as many people as she can. My dad is a retired sheriff’s deputy from Guilford County. He went back to work at the Airport Police at Piedmont Triad International Airport. He also used to be an ambulance driver and he is a volunteer firefighter. Any branch of first responders you name, he has done it. He is an inspiration to me. He always helps people no matter what. A few years before he retired, he even won an award for saving the life of a school bus driver that collapsed and wasn’t breathing. I am so proud of him for that. I love both of my parents so much and they have set a great example for me to follow. I hope that I can be as inspirational as they are when I grow up.
